Good Friday Morning, Everybody!
:donut::hi:
Welcome to this Friday edition of the Captain Clintmax show! I hope you're doing well and staying warm! It's a chilly 39 degrees here in Tallahassee right now, but we're looking for a high of 71 so it's going to warm up nicely as the day progresses!

I am off work today, so I can get some of the errands I've been needing to run completed! :woohoo: I enjoyed "Brokeback Mountain" so much, I may go see it again today, and I'm certainly going to go find the soundtrack to purchase! Do you have any plans for the weekend upcoming?

Song Of The Day: "Brokeback Mountain Theme" by Gustavo Santaolalla

29. no stress
but really strange entries in the catalog. Sometimes you start with one thing and suddenly you see this very strange entry. Then you try to figure out what went wrong and wooom you have a rats tail correcting a lot more than you inteded to.

And working with books from the 17th, 18th century is everything but tedious.

Just getting back from the club! hehe.. and my feet hurt (damn these flip-flops)

This weekend is work for me as I need to catch up on some last minute things for a gig I have next week. But today is my last day of my "mini-vacation" so I'm going to enjoy it by sleeping in and playing on the computer. I've been wanting to set up a myspace page for the longest of time but I haven't had the time so later today would be the perfect opportunity.

Here we are drunk around 2am. I look so fat in this picture :(

Edit: OMG! I look awful! lol..but I'll keep it up because the outfit is at least cute :)

The clubs close around 4am with liquor service ending at 2am. We left around 3am, then went to Cafe Brazil for some breakfast, then home :)

I did have a great time, met some cute boys, watched a few boys dance in the cages in their underwear (trying to win a $150 dance contest hehe), and a drunk woman fall down the stairs (she was ok, she was with her husband on their anniversary)

I so would have entered the contest but I didn't have on my sexy undies

...crashing at, has a sort of in-home studio. So I imagine he will be recording alot of this. It'll be interesting to hear what comes out of it. It's not easy to get a spontaneous jam session out of 30 good mucisians now-a-days, so I'm really looking forward to hearing everyone, and seeing what they all bring. That's the exciting thing....I could care less about myself, it's more about what I can learn from others, and they're probably thinking the same thing, so it'll be a good thing. We've all known each other for years, so there's no ego involved, because we're just as happy to get together and seeing each other, as playing music.....

73. I find cooking to be very theraputic.
But I'm not quite up for it first thing in the morning (even if that means midday when I'm being lazy).

I utterly refuse to use packet foods - which means that things take longer, but it's always worth it, and besides standing over a pan with a glass of gin to hand, and some glorious music playing - there's little which is more fun to do.

77. I've never found cooking to be theraputic...
But most of the time tedious. I have been known to use food from a packet...some of it is OK, but only because I wouldn't know how to make the food from scratch in the first place.

82. I was raised learning how to cook.
So it comes fairly naturally - that's probably why I find it relaxing.

Also, my personal theory about food is that if one shows a little bit of love to the ingredients, then they will reciprocate by making themselves taste even more gorgeous.

My main reason for avoiding anything processed is that it tends to be full of hidden salt and sugar - very very unhealthy.

86. My eating philosophy is:
"Eat what you want and you'll be all right."

If we listened to everything they say not to eat or drink, we'd either starve to death or die of thirst. You did know that even water is bad for you now, right?

91. Oh, I agree totally.
With a slight clarification...

Adding chemicals which are not actually needed is bad, and that includes especially hidden salt and sugar.

I pay no attention to dieticians, they change their minds so frequently.

68. OMG Clint!
We have a annual Iron Chef contest with work colleagues, it's really a big deal. A lot of fun with a lot of people. I was on a team last year and it was fun, but stressful all the same, so I vowed never to do it again, the cooking part that is. Anyway, my boss e-mails me yesterday telling me that one of the teams dropped out and if I would be his cooking partner. Well, you know how busy we've been at work so we really don't have a lot of time for research, etc. Anyway, we're going to do it, so there'll be two teams, but apparently there'll be no scoring seeing we have such a short prep time while the other team has had weeks to do their research. Ah, I sure can make a short story long. Anyway, it'll be all for fun. Our shopping list has to be turned in by days end and we haven't even decided what to make. Ugh! Oh well, it's all for fun, right? And all said, how could I say no to my boss? We've decided to engage the party goers, have them be our chopper/peelers, etc. Should prove interesting.

111. The secret ingredients
are: New Glarus Edel-Pils beer, Kikkoman soy sauce, Wisconsin asiago cheese, and Larry's clover honey. What we have to do is prepare a shopping list for each item. The secret ingredient will be announced Saturday night. We have to be prepared to cook four entrees incorporating the secret ingredient. For instance if the secret ingredient is the clover honey, each entree we prepare has to have honey in it. It's hard because we can't use recipes, all must be from memory. So essentially we have to be prepared with four recipes of each ingredient. I don't think I'm making myself really clear here, but I suspect you get what I mean. Ahhhhh, I keep telling myself it'll be fun.

Here in Boston it is expected to get to 50 degrees today, which is way above average for January. I'll take it!

I hope you get all your chores done and get a chance to enjoy the rest of your day.
