..bears the mark of once being feral. (or believed feral) - was she a rescue from a feral colony that they found to be nice enough to adopt out? We see enough of those in our shelter. They might need a little work, but they're usually sweethearts!

and taken to SNAP, where he wouldn't pay the $25 to keep 'em from docking her ear. She's the sweetest cat ever, til she's cornered...then she's ferocious like you wouldn't believe! I've seen her mow down her brother, who's twice her size. :D

18. SNAP spays and neuters stray animals for free

and if you take a cat over there, and basically vouch that this is not a feral/stray animal, they won't mark the animal as such by docking its ear, but you have to pay a fee for vaccinations and registration.

The neighbor was just trying to stop the proliferation of outdoor cats that lived on our patio, and trapped two of the girl cats and took them to SNAP to get them spayed, but didn't give a shite about our claim to be the cats' guardians (they were outdoor cats), and was too stingy to pay SNAP anything.

When Neutrino came back, I though she'd been harmed by the trapping cage, but then I was told by the neighbor's wife about the SNAP thing. Needless to say, I was pissed off. The s.o. kept lamenting that nobody would adopt a mutilated cat - we managed to get all the outdoor cats adopted, except the two we took with us when we moved. Neutrino was one of them.

I would have gladly paid the fee 5 times over if the old d*ck had told me what he was going to do - but it was all par for the course for a guy who started trying to run us out of the neighborhood a week after he moved in next door to us. :grr:
