1. with IMDB you have to do a screen grab or
go in the code to get the pic... they have a neat trick with a transparent gif overlay

4. I remember him too.
Here's what I found:

One of the most successful series of the 1970s is Happy Days, which is set in the late 1950s, early 1960s in Milwaukee, the heart of middle-class America. Happy Days tells the story of the Cunninghams, one of America's most beloved TV families played by Tom Bosley (Howard), Erin Moran (Joanie), Marion Ross (Marion), and Ron Howard (Richie). Richie and Joanie had an older brother, Chuck (Gavan O'Herlihy and Randolph Roberts), but he was phased out by the third season. Richie, who hangs out at Arnold's Drive-In with his buddies Potsie Weber (Anson Williams) and Ralph Malph (Donny Most), forms a close bond with neighborhood greaser, the Fonz (Henry Winkler). Living in an apartment above the Cunningham garage, the Fonz gives Richie advice on just about everything that he wants to know. Wearing his leather jacket atop his motorcycle while saying phrases like "aaaayyyy" and "sit on it," the Fonz is the king of cool and quickly became a cultural icon.

hmmm didn't they have him in the military or something?

The daughter looks familiar to me. Is she an actress?

And my god, is that hair the natural color? :wow:

24. Perhaps when they first cast Happy Days, they sought a woman who looked
like she could be his mom... therefore his own daughter might resemble Ross too?

21. I'm not a Ron Howard fan
Edited on Fri Jan-20-06 09:02 PM by Rabrrrrrr
He's not a bad director, by any means, but he sure is lackluster. Pretty much by the book directing, but not quite as good.

If he were a violinist, he'd be good enough to get into the New York Philharmonic, but not good enough to have a solo career, unless he somehow managed to pull a Kenny G, which, in fact, I think he did in the movie biz.

29. I agree. Martin Scorsese should have done Apollo 13.
Edited on Fri Jan-20-06 09:42 PM by hickman1937
Instead of letting Jim Lovell say something wimpy like " All right, we're not doing this, Gentlemen. We're not gonna do this. We're not gonna go bouncing off the walls for
ten minutes. 'Cause we're just gonna end up right back here
with the same problems. Try to figure out how to stay alive!", Marty would have let Haise and Swigurt go at it with blood globules floating, and heads being banged and split open on bulkheads. That would have made the three hours go by a little faster.

edit for forgot spellcheck. Zip, I rule.
