Who is planning on being able to stay awake for the Cowboys/Dolphins?
I intend to pace myself throughout the day. Though I used to always root for the Dolphins, they have made some dumb moves in recent years - the most recent being Griese. So, as a lifetime Cowboy fan, I have no problem saying:

How 'bout Them Cowboys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. I'll be watching
Miami has their work cut out. It's been a short week, and their Sunday game ended around Midnight.

Our season is on the line here. If we cannot win these big road games, there's not much hope in the playoffs.

2. Patriots and Eagles
tough games. Bills - not so tough. Jets - could be really tough.

3. I worry about the Buffalo and Jets games
The Dolphins aren't built to go into cold weather come December. The Jets are always a tough team for Miami to beat.

Miami really needs to win 2 of the next 3 games (Dallas, NE, and Philly) to be set up good for the playoffs.

5. His progress was stopped
The official was calling it dead, whether or not the whistle blew.

His progress was stopped for a good two seconds. Good call on the officials' part.

7. What a sloppy game
Two turnovers in a few seconds.

Ricky's a great back, but like Ahman Green, he has a propensity to fumble.

9. He doesn't have much of a line
Wade Smith, the LT, is a rookie who was just converted from TE at Memphis.

Jamie Nails was great last year, but Achilles surgery has slowed him down.

Ruddy and Perry in the interior are getting a little long in the tooth.

They've had a ton of injuries on the line. Mark Dixon was solid last year, but hasn't played a down this year and is on IR. We're going with young guys like Greg Jerman and Seth McKinney.

Williams is getting the ball a lot. He leads the league in carries. It's just tough without much blocking.

10. Those dirty filthy dolphins
how could they execute like that? It ain't right, I tell ya.

Did you know that more dolphins probably take drowning swimmers back out to sea than save them by bringing them close to shore?

Damn. I was this close, and had only that much strength left, when this fucking dolphin grabbed me and dragged me out to sea. I was lucky a tuna ship spotted me or I don't know what might have happened.

18. That is difficult
Dallas has it slightly easier. They've got the difficult Philly game on the road, but also have softer touches in Washington and New Orleans. The Giants at home should be a victory.

The Philly game will be big. If they beat the Eagles twice, they'll have the NFC East tiebreaker if each team finished with identical records. Especially if Miami ends up winning here, Dallas will really need that December 7 game.

13. I haven't seen the Dolphins play this well on offense all year
These last 3 quarters (including the 4th Quarter of the Washington game) have been great.

I wish Mare would have gotten that extra point at the end of the half. That kind of thing can come back to haunt you in the 2nd Half.

14. Parcells is a wizard at making halftime adjustments
I don't know about Wannstedt. He still seems to me to not be able to motivate his players. He has Williams and Fiedler that are hungry, among others, but are they a team?

16. Absolutely
Wannstedt is a sorry coach. He's simply too nice of a guy.

Btw, I was enjoying the game until Toby Keith came on here at halftime. :puke:

Plenty of time left in the game. 13 minutes in the 3rd quarter. God, I can't wait to destroy these punks at the Linc on Dec 7th.

22. Miami needs to stop playing conservative
I worry when Wannstedt stops going with what's been working all day. Running 3 times and punting isn't acceptable.

23. Is there a football game on?
I hadn't noticed. Much too busy with drinking and eating.

If I get a moment, I may take a look, but really don't have a great interest in it.

Dolphins hit 40. Last time they scored 40 points was last year's season opener versus Detroit.

Some high flying dolphins today!

Congrats and I'll be looking forward to the rest of the season. They will now, in my mind, be definitely in the playoffs.
