5. Music From My Childhood |
|
Thanks for reminding us of this. I like '50's music, music from when I was a child, and before the '60's.
So far I don't recognize the particular songs, but the style brings back some memories from childhood.

There is a stack of Christmas discs here and I would much rather spin those then run these spinning hypocritical asshole RW talkers!

12. But at least you're getting paid. |
|
I do this strictly on a volunteer basis. Still, I'm enjoying the hell out of it!
By the way, I would advise y'all to remain logged on when my show goes off the air at 5:00. At that time, we run an excellent locally produced public affairs show called "Regime Change Radio."

18. We Used To Have A Local Station That Played 50's Music |
|
In the late '80's and early '90's radio station KCBQ, 1170 AM, in San Diego played '50's and early '60's music. I think it was part of a network of stations that played the music. I really enjoyed it though the station reduced its signal strength so that it had a rather weak signal at night.
The station is now a conservative right wing talk radio station. Like we need another one.
There was a station in Utah, KXOL AM 1660 in Brigham City, Utah, which I used to be able to pick up in San Diego, which played early rock and roll, '50's and early '60's. There is now another station of the same frequency, I think in Central California, which usually comes in over it. And I think KXOL has recently played later rock and roll.
I miss hearing '50's music on the radio, and appreciate hearing this.
