She's pretty fearless, which scares me, since she's taken on much bigger cats and she's declawed! She was my "bonus cat," when I adopted my uncle's two cats, after he died. I had known the other cat, but nobody could tell me a thing about this one, except that "it" was friendly. What an understatement! I realized my good fortune when this lovely little girl did a delicate leap out of her carrier, after three-hour car ride, and into my life!:D:loveya:

amazingly enough. We came up with their names b/c they're both little fire sign Leos, born on Aug. 2nd. Plus, Flame has the very cool flame-marking on her forehead. :thumbsup: They're fiery, alright, and they get into LOTS of mischief together. Partners in crime, so to speak.... :eyes:

We adopted her 3 weeks ago (she was dumped by her previous owner) shortly after my beloved cat, Scarlet, departed this world. The new cat is very sweet, very playful, intelligent, and still very jumpy. The hubster and I cannot seem to agree on a name for her yet. We like names that are people-names as opposed to object-names. Maybe I'll start a thread for suggestions... she's 2 1/2 yrs old.

18. This is my co-dependent cat, Truffle.

She has abandonment issues. She follows my wife around the apartment and likes to climb up on her shoulder and hang out there. She likes to sleep on my wife while SHE sleeps. She refuses to be petted underneath her chin (she'll bite ya). Truffle does not get along with our other cat, Carlotta. They refuse to be in the same room together without fighting.

And yes, she's also cross-eyed.

in touch with her regularly to try to help solve his behavioral issues. Regular exercise is helping, but what he really needs is a large outdoor enclosure, and that's a tough sell. I would keep him if I had a much bigger backyard!

Vegged out at the computer and just hugged on kitties all day. That's how I knew I could come to this thread and I wouldn't be compelled go get a kitty to hug on, LOL. These kitties got treats all day long, like some of my whitefish salad. They were happy as clams, going in and out of the house all day because it was 60 degrees here.

a person wouldn't dump a (human) child or spouse if they became ill... I don't understand how any pet owner could abandon a sick pet, who gives unconditional love to them.

The cat we just adopted was dumped becaue she started making pee-pees out of the box... however, the cat had been freshly traumatized by de-clawing and simultaneous neutering, and the owner lashed out angrily at the cat at this behavior and stuck the cat's face in the litter, etc. She was peeing on one carpet in my house, but we re-trained her to use the box (Dr. Elsey's Cat Attract litter, putting her in the bathroom in her litter box and confining her for a bit) and she is doing just great(so far, wish us luck) ! Anyway, if her previous owner had had more patience and was gentle with her, perhaps it would have worked out for them. Their loss, our gain! We still need a name for her (post abobve).

Anyway, best of luck with Bud!
