Can anyone help me?
I wanna start my own business. Have NO CLUE how to go about it. I'm sick of working for the man. By man, I mean my manager. He is a complete tool. Actually, I would like to club him with a tool. A big assed hammer.

Damn that free association thing!

Happy Friday, all!

1. I'd start here
http://www.sba.gov/starting_business/

http://www.businessknowhow.com/bkhstartup.htm

In Boston, I have seen ads for groups of retired businessmen who give advice to people who want to start their own business (I can't remember what they called themselves). That may be a resource for you.

2. And what would your business be?

3. His own man, a hit man!
Bang, bang.

Working for yourself is a pain too. Instead of a boss you hate, you have clients you hate. Or they hate you.

I really miss that "not my problem" feeling I could fall back on whenever I was working for someone else.

5. Or you could just hate yourself because you are your own boss

4. Thanks for the welcome, Lynne!
I actually have been here quite a while, I just never post.

As far as the business, I am giving serious thought to becoming a computer consultant. It's what I know.
