My Girlfriends dream last night.... |
|
Each night as with most couples we chat before we actually hit the sack. Going over the days events, planning for the next day, talking a bit about family and lastly a few comments about politics...
The last comment I point to, because just before we hit the sack last night, I mentioned how abu gonzalez waved his little paper to the press "proving" how wire tapping the public was legal (god, that statement is so weird). Anyway we hit the sack.
Just a few minutes ago, she called me. She had the day off today and was able to sleep late. She had had this dream last night the the U.S. was under German control. It was a very strictly controlled government, very regulated, and controlled every individuals life. Passes, ID cards and other forms of ID were needed to do everything. But the last comment was particularly telling and very scary. She stated that it was so bad that every U.S. citizen required a ID card to even use the Phones...
I posted this in the lounge because it was a dream and I didn't think it appropriate for general discussion.
It kind of creeped me out. Needless to say my girlfriend has stated she doesn't want to talk politics before we go to bed anymore.
Any thoughts on this?

Last year, we were issued new ID badges. Called Smart Badges, they have a mettalic contact on the front.
The company is rolling out new Dell workstations company-wide. The keyboards have a slot on them to receive the Smart Cards, which will allow you to easily log onto the network with your ID from any workstation in the building. This will make it easier to access your personal docs anywhere you might need them. When you remove the card, you are automatically logged out.
In the new Fascist Amerikkka, you would be issued a Homeland Worker's Smart card. This card would be used to start your car, unlock your house, purchase groceries, make a purchase from a restaurant, bar or vending machine, make a phone call, or log on to any computer.
It ain't that far away.
