The Boy Who Loved Deer (Alert: Spoiler)

Did anyone have to watch this movie during the early-mid 80s? The local cops used to show us this movie in school to discourage vandalism. In the end, vandalism results in the death of hundreds of deer. Actually pretty sad, especially if you're a naive 9 year-old.
