Well, I quit my job today

I was working for a truck driver leasing outfit.
I was promised a 1K safety bonus at years end, I spoke with the owner of the company not 2 weeks ago.
He assured me that the bonuses were on the way.

I have since found out that the promised bonus to me and several others are not coming.
The Reason?
We haven't been there a year yet...that was NEVER mentioned while we were discussing it.
I have been working 1 and 2 days a week for weeks now, with the promise that "things will get better"
He KNEW that I needed that money, he KNEW that I have 2 kids, he knew all this, and STILL lied to me.
I am lucky, I have been driving since 93, and have no tickets or accidents.
So finding another job will not be too hard.

It's just the goddamned principle of the thing, I trusted him to tell me the truth.

Oh, here is the email I sent him:

John,

I am very disappointed.

I spoke with Rob today and he said that you didn't recall the conversation we had about the safety bonus.

I have let alot of this sort of thing slide, because I believed you when you told me that I needed to wait and tough it out, that things would get better.

When I didn't get paid before Christmas, you told me nothing was open, that wasn't true, John.

You told me you wanted to change the perception of the driver leasing company.

You haven't, you treat people like shit, you will get the dregs.

I am going to talk to a lawyer, and see if the promise you made to me, and others, is binding.

I TOLD you I was broke, working 1 or 2 days a week, and that I NEEDED that money. You said that dan "was going over the spread sheets". Your very word, John, now you tell Rob that "you don't recall that conversation?" I TOLD you that I have a family, yet you lied to my face.

I'll tell ya, I should have known you would treat me this way, you see, I saw the bush sticker in your office.

Typical republican.

That was perfect. I cant believe he'd lie point blank to your face like that. I hope you do get an attorney and go after that guy. I dont know if you have a legal basis but I'd try like hell to get whats deserved to you.

when it comes to expressing my feelings, but this one just flowed.
The thing that pisses me off is that I quit once and he sweet talked me back.
Promises, promises...I can't get cynical though, I refuse to do that.

6. Oh, there is PLENTY

of work for a driver that has no tickets or accidents.
It pays well, but finding the right fit?, thats the tough part.
