Poll question: **Flashback to School Days: How About Them Midterms and Finals??**
So my midterms just finished today.... I was liberated at 9:30 a.m!! :bounce::bounce:

Of course I'm not the only high schooler on here (:hi:, MMR!), but I was just curious what all y'all remember of midterms and finals in high school/college. Evil incarnate? A great bout of fun? () Somewhere in the middle?

Post about your own midterm/final memories....

WIMR

Official Question: How do you remember high school/college midterms and finals as being? I realize that college exams were probably considerably worse than HS exams, but still...

2. didn't have them in HS
College finals are hell. Absolute hell. For a week it's 10 hrs/day of studying, + 5-6 more at night.
I'm usually non-functional by the end of it :scared:

3. I was a dork in school
A stoner and a habitual skipper of classes but a dork as well. I never did my homework but I always aced all my quizzes and tests. I didn't go to college until I was in my 30's and I was so thirsty for school that I was absurdly focused - we had a choice in one class (a history class, I think) of taking 3 exams throughout the semester as well as writing a research paper or taking 4 exams. I took 4 exams AND wrote the research paper.

Dork. :dunce:

4. Absolute hell
but then again, 2 exams in particular lept to mind

1) Constitutional Law: taught by the co-author of Nebraska's now-unconstitutional DOMA. One of the questions: Argue the constitutionality of Nebraska's DOMA. Yeah, like you could argue it was unconstitutional and still pass. Not. Which left me to argue that it was a fabulous idea. It literally made me ill.

2) Partnership Taxation: Not only did it involve tax, we had to do actual math. I ended up with a number that was so obviously wrong, I figured I'd failed the entire class. Worst. Feeling. Ever. (turns out I got a B...who knew?!)

5. I never had trouble with the HS ones...
...of course, I never "applied" myself either. High school was just something to hurry up and get through with as soon as possible.

College, living up to it's reputation, was more work but it was something I wanted to do. I do remember having weekends trying to complete as many drawings and/or paintings as possible... *whew*

6. Test scores always saved my lazy ass because I wouldn't do busywork.
I really only had to study for one final in high school, because it was a geology practical and I wasn't real confident in my ability to test well on that. The nice thing was that it was an open-note test, so in preparing my notes and sqeezing them onto a 3x5 card, I managed to internalize the information and did really well on the test.
