2. Neti Pot.

You pour warm water in through one nostril with your head tilted, and let it drain out the other nostril.

Some people swear by them.

I think they're kind of gross.

I mean, I've seen kids drink milk and then laugh and have milk come out their nose. Isn't it the same plumbing?

It actually doesn't feel weird at all.

I have to admit, I thought it was the grossest thing I've ever heard of, but I've had two colds this year and I had three different people at my yoga studio tell me it was FANTASTIC, so I did it. And they're right. It's great.

In practice, I can't stand the thought of that much water running through my sinuses. :scared: Perhaps I'll try it eventually, but for now... no thanks.

But I had the same thing with acupuncture: the idea really squicked me out but a lot of people told me it would really help my condition. So I sucked it up and tried it and what do you know? It worked great! So I applied the same principle to the neti pot. :D

I've put all sorts of random shit up my nose in the past. Somehow I'm scared to try the neti pot, even though I know it will help me.

It really helps me - I don't snore as much, and with my allergies, it helps to control them as well.
