I spent a crappy day digging a long narrow trench in the back yard for pipes to drain the yard if we have a heavy duty rain. Didn't have this problem before the townhouses were built, no yards to hold the water means flood in a floodplane.

4. Probably a mammal, since all the frogs, lizards and snakes are hibernating for the winter.
