I saw The Indigo Girls perform last night. Wow, what a show!
It was a sold out show, of course. All acoustic, too, which was cool. Just them and their guitars. Their voices are like milk and honey together, perfectly blended. Their harmonies and lyrics are sooooo beautiful and touching. BIG

Any other Indigo Girls fans out there?? Check in and testify!! :hi:

4. Have you ever seen them perform??
If not, I'd recommend it. In person, they're amazing.

9. It's an online music service where you can stream audio
from or buy individual songs. It's a subscription service. It's pretty neat. You can listen to any album you want for about ten dollars a month.

11. Oh, cool. Guess I'm out of it. I don't usually listen to music online,
although I'm actually listening to progmom's online jazz show right now, as a matter of fact. heheh Excellent stuff, btw!!

2. Which Indigo Girl did the duet with Vonda Shepherd?
Her voice is exquisite.

3. I don't know who Vonda Shepard is, sorry.
but, truly, BOTH the Indigo Girls have exquisite voices. This might help you figure it out, though:

Amy Ray has the deeper voice and Emily Saliers has the higher-pitched voice.

maybe that'll help....

:hi: Aristus!

As I mentioned yesterday, I would have been there myself had the show been a little closer to home or scheduled for a weekend. They do have beautifully blended voices.

My SO knows to steer clear of me when I start playing Indigo Girls music because it means I need to be cheered up and I'm in a particularly cussy mood.

15. Thanks for the link!
Unfortunately they're not in my area anytime soon but I'll have to keep checking the site for later dates. I introduced my husband to Indigo Girls many moons ago and now he's a huge fan too. I really want to take him to their concert. They're the only group I've ever seen live that sounds just as good if not better than on cd. I would give my right arm to sound like Amy...I LOVE her voice. Together though they are incredible.

Silly fan thing: I have one of Emily's guitar picks. She dropped it on the stage and I was able to get it after the show was over. :D It doesn't help me play the guitar as well as she does though damn it.

I'd be REALLY worried about you if you were, like, collecting their hair locks, or something... heheh.
