4. It's taken me a while...I was well over 9,000 prior to the summer, and
then I spent the summer in Yellowstone...now I'm just racking up those numbers again!

6. I've been stuck in the 6000's for a while too
I was posting like a madwoman over the summer but once school started back up I just got too busy.

Here's to your soon to be milestone :toast:

Grew up with him...way back when players stayed with teams throughout their entire career! Yeah, it was slave labor, but it was alos loyalty!

15. I'm not optimistic...I haven't paid too close attention, but I do believe
that all teams need a shortstop. I don't think they've filled that yet.

I haven't even read any of the articles about it--just seen the headlines. I guess I should read something, because it all seems so strange!

14. Ah, Peggy Guggenheim ...
Wonderful woman. Those days won't come back.

But she has nothing to do with Crazy Guggenheim. He just stole her good name to show off Yaks and brag about Psychology. Oh, and he yells quite a lot. (He's also an IT professional, if ya know waht I mean. )

17. Have you ever been to Venice?
If so, you MUST go to Peggy's museum. It's off the beaten path, which is part of its charms, and it has a backyard patio that stretches above the canal and you can sit and watch life go by!

Great collection, too.

19. Yes, been to Venice
and have visited the Museum, since Venice is some two hours away from where we live. Heidi (my wife, another DUer) still wants to go there this year, although I'd prefer the Tuscany, where my dad's family is coming from. :hi:

22. I was watching PBS last night, the great trains series, only to see the
train finally arrive in Venice!

Gotta get back. I've been there twice, only once to Tuscany, but loved that area also.

So, what'd you think of the horse out on the patio? And, specifically, the guy riding it!

It's not in too bad of shape though. Of course, it could always use some improvements. Most cities could.

into the city. Most of the buildings (downtown) are owned by Yale (the University and the hospital)

35. I was back in CT for the holidays--lots of ads running by unions, etc.
blasting the proposed expansion of one of their hospitals, I believe. I could be mixing it up with some other hospital, but I think it was Yale.

36. Yeah it was Yale
they are trying to build this big cancer center by it's being met by some opposistion. Yale wants to take over some already established buildings in order to build the center and some of the building don't want to sell.

The gas station that my mom parked in (she works at the Yale school of medicine) got bought out by Yale for $3.5 million.
