2. No. Some people have their system set up to not load message
until they click on it. Probably people with dialup or those that just want it to be shorter on their screen. And some people get annoyed at clicking on "message" to find nothing there, so eom nt n/t is a shortcut way of saying don't bother. I know, Some People, Some People, some people. But it is a politeness thing. That is why you should only put it in the subject line, because if it is in the message of course it is redundat.

3. It is designed to prevent someone from opening your post
because if you use one of those three, you are essentially stating that your entire post is in the subject line.
