1. It must be because I'm always here.
Even if I don't post, I'm nearly always reading.

But, I don't want to quit you, baby. :loveya:

6. I'm in relapse again
How many people have 1000+ posts here? How many people have 1000+ posts on the average messageboard? Does that answer your question? How many people visited the Lounge and haven't left since...

If NewYarker ever decides to leave DU then she'll probably end up wandering the streets and saying to every person: "Welcome to New York! :toast:"

8. Unfortunately, you are correct!
About the time I think everything will be quiet for the day and I can get something done around here, there's another disclosure, indictment, confession, conspiracy theory, etc., and I'm hooked.

Tomorrow, I'm going to really concentrate on vacuuming/dusting. Yep! Just watch!

9. Yes - very much so.
Just yesterday I was thinking that if we lose our ability to communicate with other like-minded people here on DU it would be an absolute disaster for thousands of people.

Perhaps we should have some sort of emergency/disaster response plan. You know, like where we will meetup in the event of the unthinkable.

19. Addicted? You do NOT know the half of it!
I am so addicted that now, since my early retirement last April, I plan my day around being on DU.....

I normally inhabit the Lounge, but came over to post in auntAgonist's thread on ELDoctorow.....

This site has saved my life many times over; given me a place to vent, cry, laugh and love.....

I will always be a part of DU, and esp. the Lounge....

For it has my heart.....

:hi:

22. Not DU per se. It's the variety of people and information all in one
place.

I can talk to people here whom I would Never even encounter, let alone actually engage in discussion with them otherwise.

The physical attributes of the DU board do make this easy and pleasant, so they do contribute to my addiction.
