Puffy, red, congested.
I've sneezed more times in the last 48 hours than the rest of my life combined.
UUUUUGGGGGHHH. I hate being home on a Saturday night with the crud!
At least my Hawks won today.
What's up with you tonight? How come you aren't out and about?

2. Thanks Bigwillq. I'm fightin' with fluids and advil sinus. |
|
It's kickin' in a little bit. They always make me a little "loopy."
Thanks for the kind words!

It's the only thing I take when I have a cold!

3. Ah feel your pain. I'm on the cusp of a cold, myself. |
|
Sore throat and congestion for a day now.
At least I can still taste, thank God. My three-month old homemade Shiraz is amazing!

5. Homeade Shiraz? I'm so impressed. I've love to learn how to make wine. |
|
Is there any rule against having a glass of wine with a bad ass cold?

11. The kits make it easy. |
|
The initial cost for equipment and bottles is about $100, and then about $50 for every 5 gallon batch you make. I'd only suggest going for a 9-10 litre kit instead of the 7-litre.
If there are any rules against wine during a cold, no one's told me. :)

4. I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. |
|
I hope you're better soon.
How come I'm not out? I've been cleaning house all afternoon, and I'm tired. Plus, most of my friends are married and are homebodies themselves, or they live out of town.

9. I hate it when my friends get married/and or move. |
|
Damn them.
Kidding of course, but I know how you feel. And it's difficult to make friends the older you get as well. At least friends that you want to go with on a Saturday night anyway.
At least the house is clean? You've got one up on me there.

|
I haven't done a thorough cleaning in...well...a long time. It does feel good.
Next weekend - cleaning out the dead crap from the yard/garden. x(

13. Now, that is impressive. A top to bottom scrub and the yard? |
|
I'm thinking of hiring a maid. Is that wrong? And a couple of lawn guys. My place is supposed to have maintenance provided, but that really means they just blow the leaves into the corners of my yard. I never got the leaves up. Oye.

14. Well...let me take that back a tad... |
|
I need to clean both bathtubs, and the 2nd bedroom needs a thorough cleaning. I just vacuumed in there. It's the room where all my junk is, and I need to go through that and trash what needs trashing.
The rest of my house was so damn dusty. Ugh...
Leaves? Ehhh...I have issues with those too. But, all the perennial plants in my yard are dead. I need clear all that ugly crap out so the new stuff can grow this spring. Plus, city brush removal is the 30th. Ugh.
If I could afford a maid and lawn service, I'd seriously consider both.

And I can't really afford a maid either, but a girl can dream?

 I just got over a seriously aggravating two-week long cold, myself.
I'm not out and about because Friday and Saturday are my days to rest and relax - back to the grind tomorrow.

19. That's true. Would have sucked to have gotten this on my vacation. |
|
I started getting it the day after I got home. Starting to think it may have something to do with going from 80's to 20's over the last week.

I remember my brother going into the Army flying from Iowa to South Carolina where the temperature difference went from 10 below to 80+. He was sicker'n a dog for a little while.

|
He's all congested, too. Poor guy. He's bummin' amd we're basically stuck at the homestead, caring for him, laying low...
Hang in there and I hope you kick it soon... Take care, Shine

Especially if you feel fine. I'm still whiney when I'm sick, much worse as a kid!
Take care of yourself too. Make sure you don't get it.
