Cheap wine & cheese night....join me?
I'm saving my Boursin and high dollar Riesling for a girl's night; so I have light Laughing Cow, water crackers (craked pepper) and a $5.99 cali merlot which is suprisingly ok...Barefoot (blue and white label). I've liked everything I've tried from them so far; if you are going for cheap but palatatable I reccommend their cali white also.
Pull up a chair and have a glass....I do have some Razz Stoli hidden away if we get too crazy!

Stupid joke: WHat's my favorite italian wine?

"Pleeeeeeeeease don't kill me!!!"

ha.

1. It's good to have cheese with cheap wine
The strong flavour of the cheese covers for any shortcoming of the wine.

3. Well
this cheese isn't that great either; think I'm gonna go drag out the tapenade for it. Olives alone aren't doing it.

5. Chianti?
I have not ventured there yet in my wine education. I am still not happy with a very dry wine. Any recs to get me started?

9. well, sheeesh, I would not call myself a conoseur...
I do not think you should start with chianti though...perhaps an Australian Shiraz?

8. I LOVE Boursin. Especially with wine.
I've had the barefoot, it's decent. Tried Little Penguin? Not bad and pretty cheap also.

Enjoy for me too!

16. More then just interesting, the bitter-sweet chocolate introduces....
texture into the game. It might just help transition you into enjoying a full bodied dry still red wine. A Ying and Yang sort of thing.

17. Cavit is my cheap wine of choice. Is it cheap? Kinda tastes cheap.
Cracked Pepper are the only water crackers worth the money.

20. You know that Cavit..
makes the Principato wines for Olive Garden *ducking* . I like the blush they make in that line for seafood meals; have some in the fridge right now.

18. Barefoot wine is good wine
Edited on Sat Jan-21-06 10:56 PM by Whoa_Nelly
One of my fabs...the Chardonnay. Barefoot has won a lot of awards. Am surprised they've kept the price so low. Have enjoyed many Barefoot wines over the last eight years or so.

Am drinking a crisp Toad Hollow Chardonnay tonight!

Toast!
