A friend has been pondering a certain question for DAYS -- |
|
"So I have a question for anyone who understands the fundamentalist mindset.
As previously mentioned in my earlier post about menstruation, one in six fertilized eggs naturally results in miscarriage, some of which are reabsorbed by the body.
So if life begins at conception like the fundies claim, does that mean that many women are inadvertent cannibals?"
Your responses will be sent directly to her via email.
How do you reply?

4. It is kind of funny, but there is a streak of logic there that you can't |
|
avoid -- if you are a fundie...

1. I would respond by saying that the fertilized egg dies....... |
|
spontaneously.....and THEN the body absorbs it.....
We do NOT eat our dead tissues...because that is ALL that it is! DEAD TISSUES!
When a living being dies, the soul leaves...
Just Mother Nature's way of cleaning up after herself.....
Tell her that!

Yes, you're all evil and, while we're on the subject, it was all your fault about that whole apple/snake/eviction from the garden thing.
Seriously though, I think that the 'logic' goes a that a miscarriage is God's will that's alright. Plus when the Bible was written no one knew about the mechanics of pregnancy and if it's not in the Bible, as far as fundies are concerned, it doesn't exist.
If you want to ponder cannibalism then the concept of transubstantiation is always good for a laugh.

That's one of two camps. The other camp says that scientists don't know what they're talking about, and therefore this idea of spontaneous abortions does not exist anymore than they think evolution or the Big Bang do/did.

Funnily enough it's not only fundies that believe life begins at conception, so does this old pagan.
And in answer to your question, my babies were very tasty ;)

If that's cannibalism, let's stop and ponder the universes that die every time somebody swallows after the BJ. Carl Sagan's beeeellllyyooooons and beeeellllyoooons swirling down the throat every second of every day thanks to a simple act. Woohoo!
Yeah, logic makes all this stuff even funnier.

She's been jostled around and has faced some serious medical issues. I hope she finds better employment in the future!

9. Your baby is eating you. |
|
It is a bit of a joke, but I used to think about this while breastfeeding, looking at this baby that grew in me, and now was surviving by eating bits of me. And is now a teenager and, well, you know how teenagers and their parents are.

babies don't get threads locked or deteriorate further, usually, while eating cum does. Thanks for the explanation.

15. If it's a fundamentalist mindset, the answer is that is God's design. |
|
And if God designed it thus, then it must be God's decision which egg lives. And who are we to question the wisdom of God that he designed womankind in this manner.

18. I was raised by fundies, and I can answer this |
|
The woman lost the baby because God wanted her to. He had to punish her for (insert sin here), for which she had not properly repented. When the woman gets her life right with God, she will be able to bear as many children as her husband insists she have to make him feel important. After all, it is the job of the woman to make the man feel important, since she is nothing.
