I give up. I am now watching the game.
But I am a totally blank slate. Who should I be cheering for and why?

1. AFC championship?
Cheer for either. I don't care. :D But the Broncs have only just begun to actually PLAY today... :eyes:

3. Who is the underdog?
I thought the Steelers were a total fluke in making it this far (ducking for cover from flying objects hurled by many of my northeastern pals).

I do like Jerome Bettis. But still can't decide who to cheer for!

:)

5. Rank-wise I believe the Steelers are a lower seed.
But they've really been kicking some Bronco ass this game....

Who knows.

8. I'm cheering for Pittsburgh
Hell, it's good enough reason for me that they are one of the ONLY teams still in the same location and with the same team name they had when I was a kid!

:D

18. I have never really liked either team
but the Broncos were the Orange Crush and so was my home school the year we won the ESD championship in 1979.

Also, I was once an Oiler fan and Pittsburgh was their chief rival.

Having grown up with Bud Grant and Tom Landry, psychotic screaming coaches like Wannstadt seem to me to lack class. Their management strategy is violence. I am hoping for a miracle - watch Ditka.

Nice to see you, gf! I'm watching too, though I'm reserving my cheering for the Seahawks-Panthers game. You don't have to guess who I'll be cheering for!

6. I will definitely cheer for Seattle!
Mostly for you, of course, but also because the first NFL game I've watched from start to finish in a long time was the Panthers-Bears game last weekend - with a bunch of Bears fans!

x(

 for you, girlfriend!

Hugs back to you!

I have no dog in that hunt. Would it be better to cheer for the team with the least ugly uniform than to cheer in solidarity with a friend?

16. Whaya think *I'm* tryin' to do?
And, yes. If you're a guy.

But you don't admit to either. If your home boy says something like "I didn't know you were a Detroit fan," you must say something like "Oh, yeah. Detroit kicks ass."

Because if you say "I like their uniforms" or "I'm not — but you are," you're obviously gay.

40. and just what is wrong with THAT?
At this point, most people do not have a team of their own in the play-offs. But if a bunch of guys get together and most of them are Seahawks fans, almost every guy is gonna root for the Seahawks too and many of them are gonna be honest about why - when in Rome, root for the Rome team.

If a man says something or avoids saying something because he is afraid of being called gay, then he's obviously gay.

But that's just me, I always hang out with guys who do not mind that I am gay, even if I'm not.

13. Does college hoop still have rules?
I stopped watching the NBA when they outlawed defense, passing and smart shot selection and made dribbling optional, but if the NCAA still does these I might be induced to watch.

He likes to call me names and thinks I'm a freeper. I'm not even American, so what gives? And he doesn't like the fact that they are trying to cross-breed Yaks with Swiss cows. He's sensitive that way. Besides, he likes Liebermann.

28. Is that during any game, or just one in which the teams are the same
to you?

It is rare for me to watch a game in which I don't have some reason to cheer for one team or the other, if only out of spirit with a friend who does care who wins.

I know what you mean, though. A nail-biter is more fun to watch than a blow-out any day of the week, even when I do care who wins!

46. Each team has precisely one Auburn Tiger
oddly, both play offensive guard: Kendall Simmons for the Steelers and Chris Gray for the Seahawks. (Yes, I actually checked. Ve-e-e-r-r-r-y slow here today.)

Perhaps you could root against whichever one has more 'Bama players?

Or root for the Blue city -- oh wait, they're both Blue! :bounce:
