NBC is canceling "Will and Grace"
West Wing is also going at the end of this season. There's a West Wing thread in GD--no mention of W&G there.

1. I'm kind of glad on both counts
the west wing was a great show, but i think it's time was over, and better to let it go than to keep pretending. I'll be curious to see how it ends.

W/G had a great run, and I appreciate it as a ground-breaking show, but I haven't watched it in a while and haven't enjoyed it for quite some time. I was much sadder to see Queer as Folk's run on Showtime end :(

2. "Will and Grace"
are not really being canceled. They are leaving on their own because they think it is time.

3. The NY Times article quoted the head of NBC as saying
Edited on Sun Jan-22-06 06:48 PM by joeybee12
it was being canceled--personally, I think it was time a few years ago.

14. When Eric McCormick
was on R&K, he said it was a mutual decision because the show had run it's course. Just sayin'....

4. I watched only one season of Will and Grace and thought
it blew. I just didn't buy the idea that Will was such a nebish when it came to dating but was allegedly a succesful attorney in New York. Yeah right.

I also tired of the Jewish stereotypes in the character of Grace.

Glad to see it go.

5. Good -- it'll make run for something better, I hope
I won't miss Will and Grace. A lot of stereotyping and very mean-spirited at times.

11. Put 'Scrubs' back on Thursday nights!
although I won't whine too much since there is currently an hour's worth on Tuesday.

p.s. I don't care for that new "comedy" by the creators of W&G either.

16. Halleluja! lamest show on TV! Offensive and trite at the same time
I guess succeding at doing both at the same time explains the mystery of its longevity.

18. Will & Grace isn't being cancelled
They planned this to be their last season.

I learned about WW yesterday and am really bummed. As soon as they moved it to Sundays opposite Extreme Makeover Home Edition, I knew it was toast.

21. I always liked Jack and Karen.
Even if I have never in my life met a gay man that acted like him, he is still funny as hell.

Will and Grace were so freaking boring, they actually took away from the show.

vapid and immature and flouncy men. :grr:
