At least the Steelers will get a shot at a fifth Super Bowl title so they can be in the same class with the Cowboys and 49ers.

18. I assumed the double bonus points were for identifying the
reference on the "great town unless you've lived here your whole life" quote. But I might've misunderstood :)

25. my parents are both from there
and my grandparents on my dad's side lived there as I was growing up, and I have so many great memories of visiting them every christmas and plenty of other times as well. I spent a few summers there over the years as well, living with my dad after he moved back there. I really like the quick access to the mountains, the college town feel (i love old town) and I've got a soft spot for CSU as well (my grandpa taught there for several years). Anyway, whatever chaos occurs in my outside world, I've always known there is safe harbor for me in Fort Collins :)

But I probably wouldn't feel that way if I'd lived there for any significant period of time--i'm the kind who needs a frequent change of scenery :)

32. I also grew up in Ft. Fun, and completely understand what you're saying...
Left to go to college when I was 17, and breathed a huge sigh of relief when I arrived in Portland, OR. I've never wanted to move back, though I do still enjoy visiting my family when I go.

But living there again? Not gonna happen!

19. It's not a deal with the devil
when you act like a gentleman and still play good football. Bettis slightly past his peak is better than many backs at their best. Plus, the whole team loves the guy and rallies around him. He is a motivator who has helped the team get this far.

I actually respect the Bengals as a team, especially under Marvin Lewis.

But if taking cheap shots will make you feel better, go right ahead.

20. There were anxious moments
Many of us were afraid that Jerome would be weak from loss of blood after signing his name on that satanic contract, but even with the high altitude and his asthma, he did great. Hail Satan!

28. Look at the series of unfortunate events that benefited the Steelers
The team that was champion of their division lost it's starting quarterback on the first pass play on the game in the first round of the playoffs. This allowed them to win the game.

The best team in football's coach had lost his eldest son a month before the playoff game and the whole time leading up to that game the Colts weren't the same.

29. The Bengals were only champs of their division because...
Roethlisberger had a knee injury and it hurt our midseason.

The moment Kimo rolled on into the Bengals' QB's leg was when the truth became evident that those who live by knee injuries die by knee injuries.

yup, it's a cosmic conspiracy, all right.

I suspect the Steelers would have won the Cinci game, even if that hadn't happened. They are just like a juggernaut this year.
