What happens to those Championship t-shirts and caps
that Denver and Carolina had printed up? I know they'd go back to the manufacturer. But what happens after that? I always thought that would be a cool collection to have; championship memorabilia of those that didn't quite make it.

I wonder about the oddest things sometimes.

5. Yeah homless shelters and such.
Just think somewhere in the world someone might be walking around with a Vikings Super Bowl Champions t-shirt.

8. ROFL
I think the Vikings were in the Superbowl a bit before they started the major merchandising of the playoff teams in that way.

I would love to have a Vikings Superbowl Champion sweatshirt for real though!

I am liking Zygi Wilf a lot!

Denny wasn't bad at all. It'd take a lot to be better than Denny.

17. I was never much of a Denny fan
He allowed players a bit too much leeway as far as certain behaviors. Plus the sexual harrassment thing. (As a woman, I have issues with that sort of thing.)

when your ethics are questionable.

25. Very true.
I don't ask a coach to be a total straight arrow but on second thought they should be. They're getting paid big bucks to be a leader to pro athletes. If your life is in the gutter, well monkey see monkey do.

11. Most of them never get printed at all.
Only a few of those are printed ahead of time;
the folks who make them wait on standby during the game
for the call to start cranking out the other 99 thousand.

That's pretty pricey.

44 bucks is a bit too much.

26. Yes it is a lot of dough.
Another poster suggested ebay for losers stuff. I would think the rarity would make what's out there worth a little $$$$.

to make the finals in any playoffs this year. Maybe there's some Twins stuff floating around there from a couple years ago.

29. i think it gets destroyed
i remember when they gave arizona a baseball franchise and had a big selection process to pick the new name, logo, color scheme, etc. they announced the winning designs and then a few days later some of the non-winning alternate designs ended up on the streets. the stuff had been thrown in a dumpster and was supposed to have been destroyed. i remember a couple days of hoopla over it. i think the company responsible was threatened with losing its merchandising license.

30. They get shipped overseas
I read somewhere (I think on Slate.com) that those t-shirts and caps get shipped via charities to people overseas.
