The movie "Seven" (possible spoiler) |
|
At the end of the movie "Seven," Brad Pitt's character is caught in a dilemma of how to deal with the revelation that Kevin Spacey's character has killed his wife and unborn child. Morgan Freeman says, "If you kill him, he will win."
So, if you are Brad Pitt's character, what do you do? Do you kill him or let him live? It's not likely that you'd be able to torture him since you're a cop, but do you shoot him somewhere else other than the head and make him suffer? Or do you become vengeance, as Spacey wants?

1. It's been a long time since I have seen that one |
|
I would have to watch it again and question it when that period is there.

2. It's just starting again on TNT |
|
They're doing a two-in-a-row thing tonight.
What's funny is that I just re-read my post and it hadn't occurred to me that someone might actually walk away rather than hurt or kill Spacey's character! I guess that tells a lot about me!

3. I bought a cd rom of serial killers |
|
And the book of "Seven" came with it. Maybe I should just read it again. It was pretty good.

5. I thought that the "dilemma" was a cheat (much like most of the movie) |
|
C'mon, he's just seen his wife's head in a box!!! Are we really supposed to think that killing Spacey's character is going to psychically damage him for the rest of his days? I think that already happened a few minutes before. A ridiculous movie. Great opening title sequence, though.

8. Imaginary Forces did it |

I'm a big fan of Kyle Cooper's work. I'm beginning to wonder if I know too much about this. Anyway, enjoy http://www.imaginaryforces.com/html/index.html?s=projects&q=5

10. Point taken, although technically he didn't see the head |
|
Morgan Freeman's character opens the box and Spacey's character tells him what's inside. Still, the knowledge of it all - that she was brutally murdered and that she was pregnant, which he didn't know - is certainly enough to push him over the edge.
I still found the movie to be super-spooky.

6. My question: Why are so many movie serial killers such collage buffs? |

I was hoping he'd shoot himself after shooting John Doe.
