Poll question: OK: Who is going to win the Super Bowl this year
All I can say is "GO SEAHAWKS!!!" And the only reason I say that is so that smug asshole Lynn Swann can't use a Pittsburgh Steeler Superbowl win during his run for governor in Pennsylvania. Sorry my friends from Pittsburgh, if it wasn't for Lynn Swann I'd be cheering you folks on this year

That's why I have to cheer on the Seahawks!

Or do you despise them from way back? They are the underdogs who made good this year!

How can you not love this guy? He's such a cutie.

5. I know, but Swann is such a smug asshole
Swann commented how he wouldn't work as a football commentator if he was elected governor which was a definate swipe at Rendell. You know Rendell works tirelessly as governor and is allowed to spend a few hours a couple times a year in his home town doing something he loves (Rendell is on the Comcast Post-Eagles game show). I mean, it's not like Rendell just takes off for 3 months at a time to go hang out at his fake ranch in Philly like that asshole Bush does!

the stupid bastard doesn't have a freaking opinion on any issue.

I think that Swann will not play well in the banjo picking T of the state...

7. They're trying to do an Ahr-nuld in Pennsylvania
"Ooooo, a Hall-of-famer wide receiver from a Super Bowl winning team wants to be governor - let's vote for him because it would be so neat-o to have a Hall-of-famer wide receiver from a Super Bowl winning team try to run our state government"

Seriously - only the really dumbass stupid would actually buy that crap, but then again there are some dumbass stupid people living in Pennsylvania. I should know - I went to high school with a bunch of them.

He's going to have a tough race against Bill Scranton Jr but I'm almost hoping that Swann wins the primaries. Could you see Rick Santorum and Lynn Swann trying to campaign together trying to win the state. THat'll be a joke!!! What few votes that Lynn Swann might be able to attract from African-Americans, Rick Santorum will scare away!

9. Bill Scranton is more moderate and less connected to Bush
Which might actually make him a tighter race against Rendell. I'm almost hoping Swann wins the primary because he'll get his butt whoomped in the general election.

29. This is a pretty typical response from east coast elites
Who give no respect to a team like the Seahawks which has EARNED respect.

It doesn't matter to the east coasters if the Hawks demolish the Steelers, they will still deny the Hawks the respect they have earned.

That kind of attitude reminds me of the Bush Regime's way of looking at anyone that disagrees with them.

18. Here's how the Patriots can still win it....
:bounce:

I think the Stillers but that is just day one. I am sure this will change.

I don't think the chances are very high that Hasselbeck can have two games in a row like that. Lynn, I want to make this very clear-from everything I have read and seen about this guy he strikes me as being quite a JERK.

That being said Holmgren has a great record of nurturing Qb's (Montana, Young, Farvverrre) but lumping Hasselbeck in with them is a HUGH#E leap.

23. I picked Seahawks
But it all depends on how much pressure they get on Roethlisberger. And they can't turn the ball over. It will also help being in a neutral environment - Steelers love hostile ones.

Seattle is my home team (I've only been in Indy 2 yrs). Yet when the Colts lost my Seahawk fan family harrassed me (in fun) and I wouldn't mind having the chance to harrass them right back.
So... I'll be semi-pleased either way.

40. Steelers win hard fought game,
Right now the Steelers have everything going for them. They're healthy for perhaps the first time all year. Both offensive and defensive lines are playing extremely well, Ben's managing the game well and not turning the ball over and for the first time in a long while I have a small degree that our secondary can actually cover people. Throw in the emotional factors surrounding Bettis and that is what gives me the feeling that Pittsburgh will be able to win.

The football gods will certainly exact revenge on Swann if he tries to use the success of a team he hasn't played for in twenty years to help his campaign. Don't mess with the football gods, Lynn.
