My beef with book dust jackets

Is they don't keep dust off the book!

I have shelves and shelves of books. All of them get covered with dust along the top edge of the pages...not on the spine or on the covers (regardless of whether or not the book has a dust jacket. What's up with that?

i always take them off when i read the book. i just wish that books also had the title, etc, printed underneath the dust cover, as well
