for an evening of good service when the 16 yr old waitress at the steakhouse comes back to your table and says "Ma'am? I'm sorry...we don't have any diet soda water" when you've ordered a Diet Pepsi. I'm sure I probably said "diet soda" and as this was in Eastern KY, which is "pop" country, the poor wee thing couldn't get her head around it.

I can't tell you how many times the soda/pop thing has happened to me since I moved to Ohio. I just can't bring myself to switch to "pop".
