So is Pittsburgh burning?
I wish I could be there today. What's it like Pittsburgh DUers? As big as 1996?

3. Not so's you'd notice.
Huge, banner headlines in the Post-Gazette this a.m., as you'd expect plus an entire section devoted to the super bowl. :hi:

4. I wish I was back there.
I did hear a lot of weeping and gnashing of teeth here in Cleveland. :)

7. Is it really that awful for them.
I like to think that if the steelers were a shitty team with no prospects and the browns didn't suck so much, we'd be happy for them.

6. BIG celebrations last night but no arrests or injuries...lots of alcohol
Do people not realize that it is a bad idea to be interviewed by the local news when you are sloppy drunk and slurring your words??? They must have interviewed at least 5 blitzed fans on the local news stations last night. South Side and Oakland were the hot spots with streets closed down so people could celebrate.

Anyway, black-n-gold is everywhere but we are all afraid to jinx our team...not getting too carried away just yet.

But, if we win the Superbowl, ALL HELL WILL BREAK LOSE IN THIS TOWN...COUNT ON IT!!!!!

9. It'll be bigger than the Stanley Cup hoopla in '91.
And if I remember correctly, that was a HUGE deal.

10. I remember people driving crazily around Oakland
in the late 70s after previous championship wins.... in the snow, no less.

13. I was in my 20's then and I remember going downtown after
every AFC Championship win and partying in the streets. There was always a kind of impromptu parade of cars and people honking horns, waving and in general going crazy.

(sigh) The good old days :-).

11. Last night there were people driving around and honking and yelling
I saw on the news last night that Oakland was full of thousands of people just milling around in the streets and going nuts after the win! Lots of people wearing black and gold today - and lots of people walking around smiling!
