trof enters annual Habitat benefit Chili Cook-off
We had our monthly meeting of the South Baldwin (county) Democrats Sunday, and I was asked to be in charge of our entry. It sound like a lot of fun. I go every year. 5 bucks for a bowl and spoon and you can sample all the chilis as many times as you want.
<burp>

I'm hoping a friend can supply me with enough venison. It makes damn good chili.
If not I'll use beef and put up a sign:
"Pure Democrat Chili.
No PORK!"

We have no chance of winning.
There are many church groups who enter and one of them always turns out the most votes.
It'll be a good time anyway.

2. At the last one miz t. bought me a bowed psaltery.

It's strung like a piano and I played (at) it for about a week.
Lots of arts and crafts booths at the cook-off.

3. Boy, I thought I 'd get a lot of advice.
Chili recipes and the whole beans, no-beans thing.
Where are the chili-heads?

5. Five bucks for a bowl of chili is an awful lot of venison, don't ya think?

Venison does make a fine bowl of red as does the toughest, chewiest cuts of beef.
What do you have in mind, some straight up traditional Texas style without beans, or something exotic?

Major chili head here.
