Wish me luck, please. Going to my interview.

Last week I posted that I got an interview for an ideal job. Well, it's this morning. I have done my homework. My husband bought me a new outfit. (A very nice white blouse, a flattering black and grey striped vest and black slacks.) My shoes are shined. I have a fresh manicure. I have writing samples. I'm having a good hair day.

I really, really, really want this job. It would mean so much to me and my family. We'd be able to pay all our bills without having to decide each month which one can be late. It's only a few blocks from my house so I can work full time and spend more time with my son at the same time. (I can come home and see him for lunch!) It's a vertical move in my field. This job was made for me. I just have to go claim it.

I'm a little nervous. But I am prepared.

Thanks so much for all your good thoughts. The interview was amazing. The job was perfect. I think that the fact that we spoke for 2 1/2 hours is a pretty good sign. I really don't think the interview could have possibly gone better, short of being hired on the spot.

He said he'd be in touch for a second interview so I could meet the rest of the senior team.

I think I have an excellent chance of being hired.

I'll keep you posted.
