Name your favorite Canadian TV show? |
|
Come on admit you must like at least 1 or 2 shows from Canada. I have 3 of them I do like. The shows can be past and present shows.
1. Due South 2. The Hour Has 22 Minutes 3. Da Vinci's Inquest
I started watching "Da Vinci's Inquest" when I was in Seattle and able to catch the CBC on cable. Glad to see it is syndicated in the states.

4. But Coronation Street isn't Canadian is it? |
|
I think the reason the CBC puts Coronation Street on is because they want to appease those old folks in Canada that still think Canada is part of the "Brritish Empiyah!!!" Keeping in touch with Mother England or whatever.

I suppose one of the advantages of being a member of the British Commonwealth is the easier ability for people from Britain to move to Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.

7. Damn I can't remember the name - help me out. |
|
It was a kid's fantasy show. The kid was in a coma and ended up in an alternate reality where there were no adults. Except his missing spy father who was trying to take it over for the Canadian govt. It was so cool! But I haven't seen it in years and can't remember the name......
Also "The Newsroom" - that show was so brilliant.

Honestly, I preferred Tales From A Parallel Universe - the four movies that started it. It was sickly sexual and hilariously funny.

39. When I was a kid, we used to get broadcasts of a British comedy |
|
show called "Dave Allen At Large". It was kind of a sketch comedy show a la Monty Python. Some of the sketches were hilarious. Allen would also do comic bits from his stage chair before a live audience. I loved it. It was English, I guess, not Canadian, but we got it from Canadian TV.
When I was in my late teens, I loved DeGrassi Junior High. The stories and the acting were much better than any similar show from the States could ever be. I had a crush on the girl who played Caitlin.

Red Green: Alright... aware. Dalton Humphries: Sober. Red Green: Touchy. Dalton Humphries: Feely. Red Green: Touchy-feely. Dalton Humphries: Richard Simmons? Red Green: Compared to you, your wife is more... Dalton Humphries: Overweight. Red Green: Emotionally, she's more... Dalton Humphries: Weepy! Red Green: No, she notices things more, because she's... Dalton Humphries: Picky. Red Green: You would never say to your wife that she's picky, overweight or weepy because... Dalton Humphries: Castration? Red Green: The vertical hold on your television set. Dalton Humphries: Sensitive.
