Who does actor Emile Hirsch look like?
Edited on Tue Jan-24-06 06:45 PM by Radio_Lady

Maybe it's Jack Black. What do you think?

We saw "Imaginary Heroes" on cable last night. Gave it a 7.0 out of 10.0 rating.

2. Someone else mentioned that on the IMDB. I don't see it, but OK if you do!
DiCaprio has light eyes and light brown hair.

3. I thought Jack Black immediately. Strong eyebrows.
haven't heard of the movie you mentioned. I'll keep an eye out for it.

We took the kids to "Hoodwinked" this past w/e it was better and funnier than I expected. A clever modern-day twist on the Red Riding Hood story...

4. "Imaginary Heroes" is a 2004 movie. It stars Jeff Daniels, Sigourney
Weaver, Emile Hirsch and Michelle Williams (Heath Ledger's wife). We found it on cable, so it must be released for DVD or VHS by now. It's theme is kind of dark, but we gave it a 7/10.

17. You're welcome! Looks as if the website oscar.com will be updated
soon. Right now, (January 25, 2006) it's still promoting last year's ceremonies.

19. I'm bummed they moved the Oscar night up earlier in March.
It always used to fall around my bd, which is on March 25. One time they actually had them ON my bd, which was VERY cool indeed, for a movie buff like me!!

20. Gee, I thought they moved it from late FEBRUARY into March.

Here's why they shifted this year--- the Olympics!

Oscars 2006 shift to March
Academy wants to avoid a conflict with Winter Olympics

Updated: 4:41 p.m. ET Dec. 16, 2004
LOS ANGELES - Oscar and the Olympics were headed for a scheduling clash, and Oscar blinked first.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Thursday said the 2006 edition of Hollywood’s highest honors would be moved back by one week to Sunday, March 5, to avoid a conflict with the 2006 Winter Olympics.

With that date, the 78th annual Academy Awards will now fall one week LATER in the calendar than the Oscar telecasts for 2004 and 2005.

21. Yeah, come to think of it, I think you're right. They were going to
do them originally in late Feb this year, but moved it to later in early March.

Well, not too long ago, they used to have them towards the late part of March, like I said, around my bd. I'm not sure exactly why they moved them up, even to early March. I can dig the reason for letting people have more time to see the movies. Makes total sense to me.

Why change what was obviously working?

I'm sure you must know how Jon Stewart is hosting them this year, right? Should be amusing to see what he does....

Looks like the Torino (Italy) Winter Olympic Games start on February 10th (at least, that's what the TV promos say!).

Will the Olympics run for almost a month?

Wrong color eyes, though. Can't find a good picture to prove it.

Leonardo DiCaprio! However, I don't like dark-haired men who bleach their hair to blond. It looks pretty fake, IMHO! That's coming from an ex-Clairol employee who was in the haircoloring business for more than a decade!

24. Yes, I think so too -- he's hot. Sensitivity shows in his eyes.
Emile is a very talented young actor -- Jack is older, heavier, and more of a physical clown, although he's great in "King Kong," IMHO.

imaginary heroes was a good film, i thought. Loved the scene where Sigorney Weaver buys rolling papers- "Hi, I'd like some, um, papers? Rolling papers? To roll a... joint..."
