1. Soon, the endorsement deals will be rolling in, |
|
the next thing you know he'll drive up in a bling-bling H2 and say "Yo, mommy! Let's go cruise some hos down at Chuck E. Cheese!"

It was great. Don't let it get to his head.
Ok that sounds like I am being negative, but we got arrogant and got destroyed by a semi-pro team that we could have beaten. I just don't want him to have that sobering let down.

He is super self critical. He played on Saturday (got a ton of rebounds and defended well) and only scored 2 points and he was beating up on himself. Today he had 15 points, off 2 - 3 pointers, 4 - 2 pointers, and 1 free throw.

But also let him know that he does not have to be so critical, there are five people on the floor and some times the way the game goes he may not get all the shots he wants. I had to learn that. I drove myself nuts with making my free throws.

9. Yes - he gets the "there is no I in team" thing on a regular basis |
|
He is just a super perfectionist, and it is difficult to reason with him around it.

He is good at what he does. Tell him I said congrats, and have fun playing. When I was in college and playing it became a job.

11. He is the point guard |
|
second shortest guy on the team, but he is a dogged defender and gets more boards than most of the tall guys.
He really does enjoy playing...he wouldn't so much if he were on the high school team (it becomes a job then.)
