I think that was what it was called. Spicy...from Sweet Basil in hollywood district of Portland. So damn good.

7. We have several good Thai places as well |
|
but since we are so far inland, there is a dearth of seafood, so all seafood dishes are expensive.
IMHO these are the best Thai places in the Twin Cities area
1. Royal Orchid - Roseville MN - if we call ahead, we can order stuff that is not on the menu. The Haw Mok is to die for.
2. True Thai - Minneapolis MN - Just off the west bank of the University of Minnesota. Great atmosphere and food.
3. Chiang Mai Thai - Minneapolis MN - A bit expensive, as it is in the Hoity Toity Uptown area of Minneapolis, good food.
4. Ketsana - Richfield MN - Excellent curries, very flavorful. Atmosphere - not so much.
5. Mai Thai - Bloomington MN - Stir fries and Noodle dishes are great here - curries are not as good.

6. Let me know when you get here...I want to send you to this little |

Thai place that is deep in the heart of the San Fernando Valley. I used to work in the area and ate there at least once a week. It is always full of Thai people, so you know it's good.
My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Sounds wonderful!
How far is the San Fernando Valley from Orange County? (give me driving time - not distance - since I am aware of how legendary traffic is).

9. Hmmm...good question! It depends on how far into the belly |
|
of the Orange Curtain you live. Could be 45 minutes...could be longer. No need for a special trip -- just stop in when you are "in the neighborhood."
