Michael Jackson spotted in robe and veil

MANAMA, Bahrain (AP) -- Michael Jackson visited a mall in Bahrain's capital Wednesday, covering himself in a black abaya robe traditionally worn by conservative Bahraini women and a veil hiding his face.

The 47-year-old pop star was accompanied by three children, apparently his, whose faces were covered with dark scarves. They wore yellow shirts and sweat pants or khakis, without robes.

Jackson, who seems to be settling in the Persian Gulf, was seen leaving Marina Mall holding a young child by the hand. On the way out through a back door, he shook hands with security guards.

He was wearing an abaya, a robe with long sleeves, under which his pants, white shirt and men's shoes could be seen. His head and face were wrapped in a black veil and he was wearing black gloves.

The veil, abaya and gloves were of a style typically worn by conservative Bahraini women, though Jackson appeared to be wearing them to hide his identity.

7. So does he actually think he IS a woman now?
Or does he just want to not be seen at all?

4. M. Jackson. He must really hate his body.
He has mutilated himself trying to change the way he looks and now he resorts to covering himself all together. What really disturbs me is it looks as if he's forcing his neurosis on his kid. Heartbreaking.

14. I agree.
See Post #8.

I can't believe that no form of social services has ever done an investigation into whether their best interests are being served, or whether their home environment is a safe one. Or maybe someone HAS done something like that and failed to show any wrongdoing. I don't know.

17. I agree-- the kids are blond!!!!!
Not to be racially insensitive, but there's no f***** WAY a black man can father kids with fine blonde hair.

NO WAY.

NONE.

19. Actually it's very easy that it could happen
But that would be provided that along the line there was a blond parent/grandparent/etc and that he was carrying the recessive gene for blondeness.

Victoria Rowell (Drucilla on Young and the Restless) is African-American but her daughter is blonde. The father was blonde and she has a white ancestor in her family tree so she ended up with a blonde daughter.

Blonde hair is merely a recessive genes which means if both parents have the recessive gene there even if neither is blonde (which is my parents btw) then there is a 25% chance of a blonde child being produced

and I've seen mixed-race children with frizzy/curly blondish hair, but never straight, Swedish-blonde hair.

22. Well, remember this is Michael Jackson - anything is possible

Including the fact that the kids might not have his DNA or he's already starting screwing around with the DNA given to them

20. Yep, I believe Michael's so warped about his ethnicity...
he had his "wife" artificially inseminated, so he could have white children.

You're completely incorrect on this one. They're called recessive genes.

32. I will not violate my family's privacy
Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 09:22 PM by Karenina
by posting a picture. We're a large family with West Indian roots. That's where the Europeans met the Africans. Suffice to say the results span the color spectrum.

I went to the supermarket with my days-old second son in a Snugli. The woman behind me in line remarked on how cute and alert he was, then asked me if I was "babysitting." I told her NO, he is my son. She went to the manager and demanded he call the police on a black woman who had obviously STOLEN a white baby. The manager, (who had been so helpful to me on my late-night forays to keep my household together in the days before my C-section) told her to mind her own business. (I'm being diplomatic. He was INCENSED and used quite colorful language). That was over 20 years ago.

Last year my cousin asked the members of her 50+ club if it would be OK if she invited me to join them when they visited my town. She is a straight-haired, blonde, blue-eyed woman. DELIGHTED, was the response.

When we were all finally seated at the Brauhaus, Helmut was the ONLY ONE who simply accepted without question that I was the cousin about whom she'd spoken. He greeted me warmly and then asked about us as about our childhood relationship. We regaled him with stories about how we'd bridged the language gap by the time we were 5. LANGUAGE is a big topic in these parts.

THEN came the question from the other end of the table, "WHO IS THIS BLACK WOMAN? We thought you were bringing your COUSIN!" I wish it were possible to translate my cousin's response, she was prepared and JUST. SO. ON. IT. Many red faces ensued. Then I did my end-run to put everyone at ease. They all hugged me when I left. We have the double-team thang down pat.

PLEASE don't insult those of us who accept and protect our own family members, XemaSab. PLEASE.

As an on-topic aside, I BELIEVE the accounts of weeping, distraught, illegal, South American domestic servants that found their way to my ears DECADES ago. It only became a "problem" when white children were included in the mix.

34. I'm sorry if you felt like I insulted your family
and I understand that race is a sensitive topic, and that the whole concept of "race" is not biologically sound, but I can't believe that Michael Jackson, who was born a good-looking but very "black" man (albeit African-American, which is a combination of African and European), could father several children who are very pale skinned with straight blonde hair.

Genetics is a complicated topic, but there are 6 genes that code for skin color and the last I heard, more than that that code for hair color and texture. Somewhere in this thread is a picture of Michael as he was born, and he's African-American. I've seen his kids, and they're VERY European looking.

Do you think those kids are really his?

And do you think he's comfortable with being black with all the modifications he's made to himself?

16. My BIGGEST fear for those kids....
I hope my fears are baseless, but what if the jury got it wrong and he was an abuser? Hypothetically speaking of course, could you imagine being raised by your molester whom MANY people suspected of being a molester and knowing he was sued twice for molesting and yet no one stepped in and stopped your own abuse from happening? Knowing that adults from all over the country, if not the world, looked at pictures of you as a child and thought "I feel so sorry for that kid" but didn't help protect you?

I hope like hell this isn't the case.

Considering their lifestyle, I would think that there are some serious welfare issues to be addressed.

He is such a freak...and to be honest I don't give a shit what he does to himself or how he dresses but any adult man who thinks it is okay to sleep with children is a pervert and deserves to be locked up.

I suppose it's easier for him to use the women's restroom if he is dressed like a woman. What a freak!
