4. It lingers.
My daughter seemed fine after three days. I sent her back to school and they sent her home by ten that morning.
I'm calling in tomorrow. I'll give it a day of rest(I've worked w/ it all week) and that should get me over the hump.

6. I just ended a two-week bout
first with a respiratory bug and then a stomach virus.

Drink lots and lots of water. Drink it 'til you just can't possibly drink anymore.

Drink and pee and sleep should be the entire sum of your miserable existence.

8. drinking all that water makes the most of the fever
and the sweating, which is just your body trying to kill and get rid of the invading microbes

11. it's a virus
it has to run its course

you can treat the symptoms and feel better more quickly, but the bottom line is that it won't go away until the virus has been beat by your immune system.

fluids, rest, more fluids, and more rest,

oh yeah, and fluids.

14. By the way, I just read an article that mentioned oscillococcinum
which is supposed to shorten the duration of symptons if taken within 48 hours of the onset...
