I just saw it. There is no reason to remake this.

The only reason to watch is Beyonce.

Beyonce gets to act because she can sing? What?

Do you know how many black ACTORS are shafted because of the bumper crop of black musicians that are cast because the studios *know* the people like *those* black people? :eyes: It's like, you want to act and you're a minority? Have a hit record first.

Sorry, LOL, major pet peeve. Beyonce is pretty I guess, she's got talent as a singer, but there is no WAY she should get any attention outside of the music arena.

2. Be very afraid of this one

It was supposed to be released last summer, but after seeing the final product, the studio decided to delay it until February (a month during which the studios drop a lot of turkeys). It's directed by Shawn Levy, who also directed Steve Martin in "Cheaper By the Dozen."

This one will stink on ice. Another sad chapter in the decline of Steve Martin, who appears to have simply given up.

3. Steve Martin's career has really hit the skids.. he's not even that funny

on talk shows anymore either.. The poor guy's just going through the motions..

I hope it;s because he just needs the money.. i would hate to think he isn't aware that he's lost his "groove".
