I'm rather indifferent on the matter, but I'll say she's attractive, and talented, and I'm glad to see her branching out. And while I haven't actually seen any of this Wal*Mart shilling that's so rampantly slathered all over your thread, I'm not one to pass judgement.

8. I have to say that when I find myself in a Wal-Mart...
(which isn't very often), the people I see there look like the sort of people I'd expect to see in a Wal-Mart.

Of course, although I do occasionally find myself in a Wal-Mart (late at night when nowhere else is open) I don't count--I'm 6' (183 cm), about 140 pounds (10 stone/63 kg), and not, from what I'm told, ugly (unless all of those women were lying to me).

Does being "fat" automatically make someone "ugly"? Because I've known some ugly skinny people in my time.

I've even known some gorgeous people in great shape, who were ugly inside, where it really counts.

31. Not the employees
Rarely do I venture into the Devil's lair, but I've noticed most of the employees seem thin. Rather malnourished in fact. Most likely because they make poor wages and can't afford to feed themselves. Also they get plenty of exercises since they're not allowed to go on break and the 3rd shift crew gets locked in the store at night. Oh yes and they make then do that god awful spirit-breaking cheer in the morning.

33. and the numerous Waltons who own Walmart
are exceedingly rich, well-fed, and probably skinny and bo-toxed to the max. And the poverty of those that buy there (or the middle class that need to buy cheap goods due to stagnant wage structures) keeps the Waltons rolling in dough and on the upper reaches of the Forbes money list.

Isn't there an interesting point here, CA's flamebait not withstanding?

And for the record, I don't equate fat with ugly, or vice-versa.

I think Queen Latifah and Kirstie Alley are pretty hot, and they're 'fat'. Conversely, Kid Rock is pretty damned ugly, but he ain't fat.

the other day to use a gift card I got for christmas, I was suprised that there was actually more minorities (Asian, Black, hispanic) there than the stereo typical white rednecks there. I figured they where either filming a commerical about how walmart is diverse or just all the rednecks now shop at the new walmart 5 miles away. I was in the store a total of 10 minutes, got what I could with the gift card and got the hell out of there, only complaint I'd have was F*cking idiots didn't know how to drive in the parking lot. When I got home I took 2 showers because felt so dirty going there!

There are always choices. You may choose poorly as many have done, or take the right path and avoid these stores all around.

No, those who work there, shop there contribute to the evil of this corporation and are as much of a problem as the corporate offices. Accepting shitty conditions because it's easy and available is an absurd position and reeks of laziness.

I agree with you about walmart being a monopoly monoplies are bad as a rule.
The problem is though when you live off of a small salary you have to reluctantly find the best deal. That's the nature of the wal mart beast. People living on disability pay and senior pensions have to do what they can to spread that check out. When your entire income is around five hundred bucks you gotta do what you can to survive. That's why I blame Dubya it all rolls from the top on down.

they really did publish an issue titled that. Whether those girls were real walmart employees, I'm not so sure.

http://money.cnn.com/2003/11/12/news/companies/walmart_playboy/

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Playboy.com's controversial "Women of Wal-Mart" feature went live Wednesday, showcasing six of Wal-Mart's "sexiest" female employees who dared to shed their uniforms for the online pictorial.

Nesheim said the six models, including a photo lab technician, assistant manager and a department manager, were paid for their feature but would not disclose the amount.

72. They are also stupid and dressed like slobs.
My wife is pregnant and on bedrest so I have had to grocery shop recently, something I've been lucky enough to avoid for the most part the last few years.

So I go to Walmart, now I'm not dressed in a suit here but I have on a pair of jeans without holes, my hair was washed that morning and I had shaved in the last 24 hours. Too bad I couldn't say the same for my fellow shoppers.

If I wasn't trying to squeeze up and down the isles with Bertha in her white T-shirt with a couple of holes and no bra, accented by a lovely pair of faded pink sweatpants hiding the hyptonic rippling of fat as she walked then I was rubbing elbows with Bubba sporting a 3 day growth of beard a torn flannel t-shirt and a baseball cap that looked like it had been on safari.

Damn people clean yourself up just a little please, take SOME PRIDE in yourself when your going out in public, I'm not asking for a 1000 buck suit for fucks sake but at least make it appear as though you have had a relationship with a bar of soap recently.

Walmart has a way of making this average Joe feel like an adonis.

Latter in the week I went to Price Chopper and I felt like I was walking into the Alexandria library, cashiers could actually talk and were helpful. One lady forgot something and a girl there ran like a bat of hell to get the item for her(thats not happening at Wally World. I even ran into a few ladies in their early 30s I wouldn't have kicked out of bed.

Walmart land of ugly, fat, zombie slobs.
