What are your preferred programs for capturing an audio or video stream?
Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 10:03 PM by henslee
I just dl'd a trial version of totalrecord and for someone who never saved a stream before, it works. I saved a mono broadcast of a radio show as a wav file. Any advice or ideas? I am mostly saving long interviews and radio programs.

1. I like "Totalrecorder" a lot and use it to record a fair bit of radio
that I want archived. I'd save in mp3 format though for space reasons (and most audio streams aren't especially high quality). "Net Transport" is really good at grabbing streaming files from the source (and in fact I've started using it as a download manager over "Star Downloader").

2. Aren't all streaming files from the source? (confused) And are you
saying you use Net Transport alongside totalrecorder?
