Bailey is in the garage for the night
I took him out in the back yard for a LONG TIME but he didn't pee.

Finally I took him inside and he peed all over my sheet and mattress.

I took him BACK in the back yard. He didn't pee.

I put him in the sky kennel in the garage for a half hour.

I took him BACK in the back yard. He STILL didn't pee.

Finally I relented and took him in my room.

He peed all over the comforter.

Since he peed on the OTHER comforter yesterday, I now have but two thin blankets on my bed.

And the non-housebroken puppy is in the garage where I don't have to hear him scream all night.

Peeing on my bed twice in one night means going in the sky kennel in the garage.

Sorry, but that's how it is.

2. I'm glad to hear you say that
He looked so... BROKEN when I took him out of the sky kennel for the first time....

I think we're going to be seeing a whole different Bailey come sunrise....

3. And to raise the ante
I just stole the blanket from Polly's (the other dog's) kennel.

She's sleeping on mom's bed. She doesn't need it.

It's just anarchy here tonight.

5. Fuckin' A.
Sometimes you just have to lay down the law. :D

And the law reads: no peeing in the bed. Period. :grr:

7. I gotta say straight up
In principle, yes, the law does indeed apply to humans (since it clearly applies to puppies and kitties), but in practice, it's never been applied to a human since so far all the humans that have been in my bed have been continent.

And I would imagine that the law would be a bit harsher for humans.

Get one of these..

the sky kennels are too confining and seem like punishment. these allow the pooch to see everything and to be seen// You can drape a blanket at one end for some "cave-time".

Only put water out a few times a day, and then take him outside afterwards..

Take him outside as soon as you take him out of the crate..

get some "chux" from the pharmacy and transfer some of his urine on it ..have him smell it, and place it next to the door you use to take him out..that way if he has an emergency, he'll use that ..and it's plastic on the floor side, so no puddles.

Putting him in the garage only reinforces the fact that you are not pleased with him.. Dogs are pleasers..don;t break his spirit.

and maybe don;t let him in your room until he;s housebroken :)
