and tell you if you need to replace your fridge or just certain components. There are only five ounces of freon in refrigerator. There are no fumes to smell, and it's not dangerous to you if there is a freon leak. In fact, the only way you might suspect a freon leak from your fridge would be because the unit is no longer cooling, but could also be some other problem.
Just got this info from my son who is a certified freon recovery tech.
