2. Wences: Is difficult
Besides the ’S Awright! Bit he contributed another now forgotten bit to the comic vocabulary of midcentury America. Arguing over some trivial matter with Johnny (Wences’ hand) the following nonhilarious dialog would ensue:

Wences: Is difficult
Johnny: Is easy
Wences: Difficult
Johnny: Easy
Wences: Dee-fee-cult
Johnny: Deefeecult for you. Easy for me!

Apparently this joke was very funny.

6. Guess I'm old too. I loved the guy. I think he might actually
still be alive, but don't have time to check.

He is/was a great act.

13. s'aright!
I loved him! He made an appearance on the Muppet Show back in the day. He was hilarious!

Besides the hand, he had another guy that lived in what looked like a cigar box. Does anybody remember him?

15. "Close the box!"
Was what the guy in the box always said. I liked Senor Wences, too. Of all the Ed Sullivan "regulars" you had to sit through, he was the best.
