Always gave me a chuckle when I drove by.....

there was a thread here about college station way back last August/September where someone mentioned this intersection. I've since moved away but always remembered this and finally got a friend in CS to take this picture for me.

That place is red as red gets. Coke Street pre-dates "George Bush Dr." by a mile. And, it's named for Bush the Elder, not Shrub.

I'm still pissed about it, and it's been a LONG time.

In fact, right after the name change, I gave directions to someone using the real name of the street. I hope they didn't get TOO lost! :evilgrin:

I can't stand that Poppy's Library is at my alma mater, and that he shows up wearing a hat from there periodically. It makes me want to send my diploma back.

There is a cool health food store there though. They had the best banannas and nectarines i've ever tasted in my life. blow you socks off with taste
