10. Yes, offer in the works now
Just saw the house about about 3 hours ago. Agent am working with lives next door to me. The house has only been on the market for two days. So, am offering the asking price, which is a very reasonable price.

21. Yes..am offering the selling price
Since it's only been on the market 2 days, you bet! The place is so tranquil, and the backyard/pool area is one you just don't want to leave. Also has a covered patio with a mister all around the perimeter. LAst summer we had 10 straight weeks of 100+ weather...did I mention...I LOVE THIS PLACE!

Let me guess, you're INLAND like me. It sure can get nasty in the summer.
The place looks cool--I'm crossing my fingers for ya.

32. Yikes!
I actually paid fairly close to the selling price of my house, but the seller rebated $4500 back to me to use as down payment.

$20-50 thousand over the asking price here.

20. Sure, wheres it at?
Just curious what they said for costs of heating. We don't have gas in our neighborhood so we have a heat pump for the pool, adds ~150 per month on the electric bill in the spring and late summer. I need to get one those insulated bubble wrap covers. Direct costs last year ran 750 for chemicals, opening and closing.

San Joaquin Valley, it's warm enough to swim here almost 6 months of the year. And re: cover...there are great solar covers out there. Good idea!

And where abouts in CA? I'm looking too. Here in San Diego, a house like that would go for $750,000.00, easily!

about 40 miles south of Fresno. Asking/offering $240K

CA is pricey to begin with...San Diego is REALLY expensive!

I shit you not, that home, here, is 3/4 a million.
Unfortunately I'm spoiled by San Diego and its seacoast so I'll stay here and rent till the housing bubble bursts!

45. I love San Diego!
Lived there for a few months back in the early '70s near Balboa Park. Loved being able to ride over there and bike through the park.

Am glad that the coast is only a couple hours drive from where I;m living.

44. Wow, my friend's fixer in a bad neigborhood went for more than that in Sac
And it was an awful location, 24th and Meadowview. Directions to her house included "turn left at the welfare office" and got worse from there and they got almost $300,000. :shudder:
