Trustafarians. Do you know what they are?
Edited on Fri Jan-27-06 11:47 PM by JanMichael
They're the wannabee hippies that have daddies money to fall back on if their begging for money in "hip" places doesn't cover their needs.

You know them: Dreds on white boys that have on reletively expensive shoes. There are also the girls with the natty hair and the same worn out out designer clothing, or better yet parent paid for thrift clothes, and a cell phone to call for back up reserves.

Like the times I had these types come up for change, in places like Asheville and Prague, for what it turns out is a cup of $5 coffee.

Fuck em'. I'd like to tell them...And will the next time it happenes...

Go back to mommie and daddie and get them to buy them you an education and a job and fuck off. Fucking wannabee dead beat, faux beat writing, failure.

Is this a commonly know term or did Thtwudbeme coin it?

6. Does RAID work?
Or do they?

I don't count "Slackers" as truley indicative of the current breed. The early 90's types were actually breaking away without a safety net as far as my experiance remembers. At least the ones I knew. They were basically unhinged , zero (Or minimal) support for parents, types.

2. Common term
at least over at the other board where I hang out. Generally said with the scorn otherwise reserved only for freegans.

7. I knew it before I saw it here... (good song about them by Tilt too)

"Molly Coddled"

Not exactly in the lap of luxury
You were not quite of blue blood
But you know you went to bed
With a belly full of supper
You were safe as a bug in a rug
You were swaddled and jolly molly coddled like a dolly
and your mommy maybe gave a little shrug
When you threw a temper tantrum
For another piece of something
That other kids only dream of

Baby face baby face
Looking for a season in hell
Baby face baby face
I hope you learn your lesson well

Now you've chosen poverty
You did it for the sake fo being hip
Begging for a dollar
Never doubting for a moment
Your bohemian indignence
And you wonder why the folks
In your run down neighborhood
Don't recognize you as a kindred soul
'Cause they know you gotta a bed
In a sunny sub-division
Anytime you wanna run home
