NYC to Hold Ticker Tape Parade for Bush, a la Douglas MacArthur

And like the old soldier of that ballad, I now close my military career and just fade away, an old soldier who tried to do his duty as God gave him the light to see that duty. "How’d I do Karl?"

1. Are they going to throw toilet paper on him?
Especially the used kind?

2. Whaaa?
is this for real?

ON second thought - theres no way NYC can keep "free speech" from getting to the president, perhaps in the form of a rotten tomato or egg...

BWAHAHAHAHAHA

5. Let us hope there are still a few thousand...
Chamber pots still in NYC.

Wonder if he'll start that little parade in Harlem or the Lower East Side?

6. If this was in NYC...
there'd be more coming out of the windows than mere toilet paper.

7. If they hold a parade..
..for Bush in NYC, I have a feeling noone will be throwing something as insubstantial as ticker tape.

13. No way would the SS allow him to ride through the streets
especially as ticker-tape parades are always carried out in an open car.

17. When will it be?
I want to know when to start keeping my toilet clean so that I can save a substantial gift for him. Now if only we could mix it with tar and dump a ton of feathers on him. As bad as that sounds, it would be an aromatic cologne next to the stink he makes!

On a side note, anyone notice how Hitler also had an SS protect him as well?

If he's too freaked out to come because of folks like me that might do that, then how about if we hold an effigy parade where we end it by tarring and feathering his effigy, among other neocons, and have a Rush Pig Roast marinaded in his drug of choice?

This is a massively bad idea for a strongly Democratic city.

20. They don't throw ticker tape anymore
Stock tickers don't have tape...they're called Quotrons, and they're little computers.

These days, instead of throwing ticker tape, they throw continuous-feed computer paper. However, for Bush they'll leave it in the box.
