At what number of posts does even the hottest thread begin to flame out? |
|
I'd say when it gets significantly over 200, because the sheer number of posts becomes too difficult to skim through unless you're committed.

2. AHA, is there a mathematical formula governing this? |
|
When delta (postcount)/delta (inches width) > x, then the thread = flaming out,
where delta(postcount)/delta(width) = "The Gray Quotient" for the thread.

3. It varies with each individual's resolution |
|
So it's mostly a 1152 by 864 thing if you want standard determination.

6. Aren't these "threadkillers" merely the stuff of legends? |
|
Or are the legends all true?!

7. I don't think they're all mythical. I've seen threads drop like a stone. |
