8. all my paintings have began with black gesso

i like the look it gives the finished product...it does look really cool initially...actually it kinda looks like one of those elvis paintings on black velvet...but i do work really well with color in this medium...so be patient and you'll see...

i guess i better not screw this up...or my name will be mud...i'm glad everyone likes it so far...

14. it's an iconic image

mother and daughter...the reason it's been done a million times is that it resonates inside most of us...no harsh color combinations here...it must be pastoral...calm and light...
