I'm staying in tonight. I went out last night to see a friend's band play - ran into other friends - and stayed way later than I should have. Tomorrow i'm going to my sisters house and will help her move into a new place. I'll probably end up spending the night there and she'll probably make a few beverages available afterwards. That leaves tonight free.

Do you like Derek Jeter?

Notice how the "j" is lower case. When I first got the internet, back in 1996 or something, I would go to all these sports sites. There was one on the baseball finals and the Yankees were in the final. So the discussion was about them and whoever their opponents were. I had to pick a name, couldn't think of one and finally picked "Jeter" after Derek Jeter, who was the only player from the Yankees that I knew of.

The truth is i'm a Red Sox fan and always have been. Anyway, I would visit other sites and chat rooms and couldn't think of anything to call myself. So i'd call myself jeter. My email address - jeter_#$%^&*@hotmail.com. So I just became "the jeter."

I'm going to say that from now on. I actually hate the New York Yankees and am sick of having to explain why i'm named after Derek Jeter.

From now on I am named after Michael Jeter. Can't name a movie he is in. But named after him nonetheless.

Unfortunately Michael Jeter died a while back. I thought he was so funny. And a very good actor also. He was in "The Fisher King." (I think that was the name.) He was excellent in that movie. I miss him.
